eFilm - Creating a CD

Burning a study onto a CD can be a very useful method for transporting this study to other computers.  eFilm makes this process easy, and even includes a built-in viewer to make the images easily accessible on any machine you move them to.

The first step to creating a CD is to "mark" the images you would like to burn to CD.  Please see the "Exporting Images" web page if you are not sure how to select images.

Once you have marked the images you want, go to the "Utility" menu and select "Create CD".

This will bring you to the CD creation menu box.

Click the "Add" button.  You will prompted if you want to add the selected images to your list.  Select "Yes"

You will be asked whether you want the images saved in JPEG format, DICOM format, or both. If you want to use a specific program other than the integrated viewer to view the images, you would most likely want to use the "JPEG Images" option, as JPEG files are readable in the vast majority of image viewers.

You can now close the current study, and, if you wish, open another study and add images from that study to the CD.  In other words, you can add images from as many different studies as you wish to one CD.

When you have added all the images you wish,  click the "Finish" button on the CD creation menu box.   Click "Yes" to agree that you have added all the images you wish.

This is the final prompt you will get.  This directory is where your images and viewer are stored. Record this location and use your favorite CD burning software to copy the files in this location to your CD.
